Privacy & Security
TLDR: At Garnit, we are committed to data privacy. We do not access anything outside of promotional emails, and we do not have the ability to delete, modify, or send any email on your behalf. With Google CASA Level 2 certification, we comply with Google's strict security standards for third-party applications.
What We Access & Why
- We only access your promo emails, and nothing else. Garnit analyzes emails under your Gmail's "Promotions" tab to find useful deals and promo codes. We extract only relevant metadata like merchant names, dates, and codes.
What Don't Do
- We do not read or access any of your emails that are not tagged as promotions.
- We do not have the ability to manipulate any email, and we will never request this scope.
- We do not store full emails or attachments. Only deal-relevant info is stored, and nothing is sold or handed off.
- We don't sell your data, ever.
Safe & Secure Email Access
Garnit uses OAuth2, the secure protocol provided by Google, and we maintain Google CASA Level 2 certification, which validates our compliance with Google's strict security standards for third-party applications. You can grant and revoke access at any time. Your tokens are encrypted and only used to perform operations related to our features. Access tokens will never be shared with any third party. We do not have access to your Gmail password.
